Three Assumptions Without Which the Numbers Mean Nothing
Every cashback calculation rests on three questions. What amount is the percentage calculated from, over what period is the result closed, and is there an upper or lower limit on the refund? The answers are set by the operator in its rules — not by this site.
For Dukat.bet, the percentage is known: 15% Cashback with no welcome bonus. We do not state as fact the calculation base, the period, any limits or the form of crediting. That is why all the calculations below are models.
In the examples, we use the most common industry principle: the refund is calculated from net losses over the period, meaning total deposits minus withdrawals minus the closing balance. The period in the models is one week. If the Dukat.bet rules say otherwise, the results will change.
So the numbers are an exercise, not a promise.
Five Outcomes in One Table
Illustrative model (these are not Dukat.bet levels or terms — check the current rules on the official site): all amounts are invented and only show how the principle works.
| Scenario | Deposits | Withdrawals + balance | Net result | Model 15% refund |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Losing week | 200 EUR | 40 EUR | −160 EUR | 24 EUR |
| Winning week | 100 EUR | 180 EUR | +80 EUR | 0 EUR |
| Mixed days | 260 EUR | 160 EUR | −100 EUR | 15 EUR (weekly total) |
| Play with bonus credit | 100 EUR + 50 EUR credit | 0 EUR | −100 EUR own funds | 15 EUR or 22.50 EUR |
| Heavy loss and cap | 2,000 EUR | 0 EUR | −2,000 EUR | 300 EUR, 100 EUR after cap |
The table already shows one thing. The percentage is the same everywhere, yet the result depends on how play went and on the rules that close the period.
A Week That Ended in the Red
Illustrative example (these are not Dukat.bet terms — check the calculation base and period on the official site): over a week, a player deposits 200 EUR in total. They withdraw nothing, and 40 EUR is left in the account at the end of the period.
The net loss is 200 − 40 = 160 EUR. A 15% refund on that is 24 EUR. So the player's real loss for the week is 136 EUR instead of 160 EUR.
This is the typical situation cashback exists for. It softens a loss but does not turn it into profit. If the player put the 24 EUR straight back into play, the whole calculation would start again the following week.
A Winning Week: No Refund
Illustrative example (these are not Dukat.bet terms — check the current rules on the official site): a player deposits 100 EUR, has a good run and withdraws 180 EUR by the end of the week. Nothing is left in the account.
The net result is +80 EUR. Since there was no loss, there is nothing to apply the percentage to, and the refund is zero. That is not a system error; it is the whole point.
Some players are surprised here: they played, they spun, they were active. But in this model, cashback does not reward activity; it returns part of a loss. In the industry, activity is rewarded instead by status points and levels, which is a different mechanism.
Mixed Days: Up on Monday, Down on Friday
Illustrative model (these are not Dukat.bet levels or terms — check how the period is closed on the official site): a player plays four days a week. Monday ends at +50 EUR, Wednesday at −120 EUR, Thursday at +30 EUR and Friday at −60 EUR.
If the result is totalled over the whole week, the net loss is 100 EUR and the refund 15 EUR. But if each day were calculated separately and only losing days counted, the base would be 180 EUR and the refund 27 EUR.
The 12 EUR difference comes purely from how the rules close the period. That is why the sentence about the period matters as much as the percentage itself. Where to look for such sentences in the rules is shown on the VIP programme rules and limits page.
When Your Own Deposit Mixes With Bonus Credit
The 15% Cashback offer at Dukat.bet is listed with no welcome bonus. Even so, a player may have other bonus credit in the account, for example from a later promotion. That raises the question of whether lost credit also counts towards the base.
Illustrative example (these are not Dukat.bet terms — check on the official site whether bonus funds count): a player deposits 100 EUR and receives 50 EUR in bonus credit. They lose it all.
If only the player's own deposit counts, the refund is 15 EUR. If all 150 EUR counted, it would be 22.50 EUR. The first option is more common in the industry, but it is not a rule. That is why we describe each of the brand's bonus offers separately in our overview of offers.
A Heavy Loss and the Refund Ceiling
Illustrative model (these are not Dukat.bet levels or terms — check on the official site whether a limit exists and how high it is): a player loses 2,000 EUR in a week. Without a limit, 15% would be 300 EUR. In the model, however, there is a refund cap of 100 EUR per period, so they receive only 100 EUR.
The effective percentage drops to 5%. The bigger the loss, the less the refund softens it.
This scenario has a second, more important side. Losing 2,000 EUR in a week is a signal to stop playing, regardless of any cashback. We discuss how to set your own limits around status and rewards in our article on VIP and staying in control.
Your Own Calculation in Four Steps
Models are useful, but a calculation based on the actual rules tells you the most. Paper or a simple spreadsheet on your phone is enough.
- Find the definition of the base in the rules. Check whether the refund is calculated from net losses, total stakes minus winnings or something else, and whether bonus funds count.
- Find out the period. Check when the period starts and ends and in which time zone it closes.
- Check the limits. See whether there is a minimum loss before the refund applies, and an upper limit per period.
- Note your deposits, withdrawals and balance. At the end of the period, work out the result from them and only then apply the percentage.
If you get a different amount from the one in your account, there is no need to panic. Most often it is a different base or a shifted period — a short question to Dukat.bet customer support will help.
What the Numbers Mean for an Ordinary Player
After five scenarios, three practical findings stand out. Cashback only delivers something in periods with a loss. The way the period is closed and the calculation base strongly affect the result. And with heavy losses, a cap can turn 15% into a much smaller figure.
Cashback does not assure any profit and is no reason to play more. It is a cushion that returns part of the amount lost — nothing more, nothing less.
